Main Entrance Hours Temporarily Closed To Accomodate Construction Activities

Effective Thursday, October 5^th the Main Entrance of SMC that is currently being used to access the clinic, hospital and outpatient services will be temporarily closed until regular business hours on Monday, October 9^th to accommodate construction activities. All staff, visitors and patients will be required to access the hospital for outpatient and/or clinic services through the Emergency Entrance during this time period.

In addition, once the main entrance is opened on Monday morning, October 9th, hours for accessing the main entrance and emergency entrance will be as follows:

Monday thru Friday
- Main Entrance 6:30 a.m. ‐ 5:00 p.m.
- Emergency Entrance 6:30 a.m. ‐ 7:30 p.m.
Weekends
- Main Entrance Closed
- Emergency Entrance 7:30 a.m. ‐ 5:00.p.m.

The only patient and visitor access to the facility on weekends will be through the Emergency Entrance. After hours, patient and visitor entrance will be through the Emergency Entrance by ringing the buzzer in the vestibule that alerts the nurses' station.

SMC has teamed up with the UND Center for Rural Health, Coal Country Community Health Center, Custer Health, Hilltop Home of Comfort and Knife River Care Center to gather information about the communities we serve and learn more about how local services are used. The results of this survey will be used to develop a plan to improve and expand the care we provide.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the Hazen Memorial Hospital Association will be held on Thursday, October 27 at Hazen City Hall. Free blood pressure screenings will begin at 5:00 p.m. Supper will be served at 5:30 p.m., with the business meeting following at 6:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
