Our Respiratory Care team is trained to treat people who have breathing or cardiopulmonary problems. The department has a full array of devices, tests and methods to use, depending upon the patient’s condition. From lung exercises to monitoring your blood oxygen levels, our team is knowledgeable and able to treat a variety of conditions.
Services
- Cardiac Rehabilitation: Helps cardiology patients improve return to a normal and healthy lifestyle
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation: Helps patients with breathing problems improve comfort and respiratory function, as well as understand their diesease.
- Cardiac Stress Testing: This is a test that measures your heart's ability to respond to external stress which can help diagnose certain medical conditions.
- Home Oxygen Program: We'll help you with everything you need to get set up with and maintain your oxygen at home.
- Sleep Studies: This test is used to diagnose sleep disorders like sleep apnea and other respiratory-related sleep problems.
- Padnet+ Testing: This is a non-invasive diagnostic test that can provide early detection of P.A.D. (Peripherial Arterial Disease) when treatment options are greatest.
- Pulmonary Function Study (PFT): We use PFTs to find out how well air moves in and out of your lungs and how well oxygen enters your body.
- Methacoline Challenges (Asthma Testing): This test evaluates your lung function and the reactivity of your airways to help diagnose and monitor asthma.
- Arterial Blood Gas Sampling: This is used to measure the acidity (pH) and levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide from an artery.
- Preliminary Overnight Oximetry Saturation Studies: This simple test is used to measure your breathing and pulse while you are sleeping.
- Oxygen Saturdation Checks with Exercise/Resting: We can take an estimate of your oxygen saturation which is performed easily and painlessly with a clip that fits on your finger.
